HAZWOPER Update 2020
Designed to provide participants with general information in relation to the OSHA requirements for those who work at hazardous waste operation sites. This course meets the training requirements specified in 29 CFR 1910.120 for workers who need the annual 8-hour refresher training. The course content emphasizes the health and safety requirements and procedures for those who work cleaning up waste sites, handling hazardous waste at treatment, storage, or disposal facilities, or responding to major spills or releases of hazardous substances.
Instructor: Susan Kimball
Ms. Susan Kimball is a Senior Industrial Hygienist with Wood Environment and Infrastructure Solutions, Inc. (Wood). With over 30 years of experience in instruction, industrial hygiene, safety, and environmental consulting, Ms. Kimball specializes in health and safety program support throughout the US and Canada for both private and public sector clients. Ms. Kimball has developed and presented health & safety training programs under OSHA HAZWOPER and construction regulations, regulated building materials such as Asbestos Hazards Emergency Response Act (AHERA) courses, and EPA Lead Abatement courses. Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) waste management and Department of Transportation requirements are another area of specialty for training and consulting she has done. Ms. Kimball also provides first responder training such as First Aid and CPR, AED use, and oxygen administration for Wood personnel and commercial/Federal clients
