Environmental Justice – Practical Considerations for Due Diligence, Permitting, Enforcement, and Community Engagement
Environmental justice (EJ) has become a focus for many state and federal agencies, nongovernmental organizations, and overburdened communities across the U.S. EJ is not only influencing the development of environmental policies and regulatory programs, it is also fundamentally changing how companies engage with their employees, communities, and stakeholders. During this workshop, NEBC members will hear from an expert panel of speakers on how EJ is being considered in project siting, permitting and enforcement decisions, and reshaping dialogue with communities. Attendees will learn from case studies that highlight actions companies can take now to address EJ.
