Tribal Relations – Fisheries – Power Generation
Jaime A. Pinkham, Executive Director
Columbia River Inter-Tribal Fish Commission
Since the 1980’s, tribal capacity has been booming, making tribes leaders in environmental stewardship. Tribes are building strategies and partnerships with the public, private and non-profit sectors providing benefits that extend beyond tribal borders.
Tribes are currently engaged in a flurry of processes regionally, nationally and internationally to address the wellbeing of the Columbia Basin’s fish, water and energy supply.
As winds of change blow, scarcity feels more frequent, and with big decisions ahead, the most precious commodity for the region’s long-term future will be common ground.
